Isaiah 61:1-10
1 :The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 :to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;
3 :to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
4 :They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.
5 :Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks; foreigners shall be your plowmen and vinedressers;
6 :but you shall be called the priests of the Lord; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory you shall boast.
7 :Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy.
8 :For I the Lord love justice; I hate robbery and wrong; I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 :Their offspring shall be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are an offspring the Lord has blessed.
10 :I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
The power of God Anointing heal every kind of York and set free the captive or oppress by the devil, Israelites are in captive in the land of Assyria because they sin against God. So God speaks to Isaiah that time is soon coming he will set them free.
When God anointing you with the holy spirit you will have the power, boldness and confidence to preach and do amazing things which an ordinary man can not do, but because you have the power of God in you.
In the book of acts 10:34-40
34 :So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality,
35 :but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.
36 :As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all),
37 :you yourselves know what happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed:
38 :how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
39 :And we are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree,
40 :but God raised him on the third day and made him to appear,
God hate sin so everyone that will come to him most hate sin and love righteousness. God anoited Jesus to preach the gospel and set the captive free.
Because man like pleasure and things of the world that is why man try by all means to see that they kill Jesus Christ and baned proclaiming his name. During Jesus Christ there are pesecutors but people still the gospel and so also this generation but now people are choosing where they want to go to preach. Jesus Christ did not specify who will preach the gospel all Christians are giving the power and Anointing to preach the gospel but you most activate the Anointing.
1John 2:20-29
20 :But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.
21 :I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.
22 :Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
23 :No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.
24 :Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father.
25 :And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life.
26 :I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.
27 :But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
28 :And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.
29 :If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him
There are many people who anoited themselves, because they did not meet the requirements of God but they when preaching and healing but have no connection with Jesus Christ.
There is no any other way to have eternal life apart from Jesus Christ and those who comes to him most be righteous have love. Life with Jesus sweet because if you have Jesus you have everything, you have life forever because here on Earth we are living temporary is not permanent.
Paul said "for me to live is Christ, to die is a gain" because he know where his going to. Did you know where you will go if you die? You have to leave the things that will stop you or distract your relationship with God. Think about the life in eternity.
